STEPHANIE JONES started out as ELLE.com’s sole designer under the editorial direction of Keith Pollock. A year later she was promoted to art director. In 2012, she left Hearst with Pollock to launch DuJour. Along with co-editor-in-chief Nicole Vecchiarelli, Stephanie was one of the first five on board. The premiere issue went off without a hitch. Launching in the fall of 2012, it boasted the iconic Christy Turlington-Burns on the cover, shot by Bruce Weber. Jones and her team worked directly with Code & Theory, designing and launching the website seamlessly at the same time as print.
The awards for DuJour soon followed. DuJour won the Webby Award in its first year for Best Home/Welcome Page and Best Navigation/Structure, the Best Print Launch Award from MIN and the Hottest Newcomer Award from AdWeek. A year later, Jones was an award finalist for Print Photo Illustration for her playful composite of Donald Trump. Magazine cover subjects have included Robert DeNiro, Julianne Moore, and Lupita Nyong’o.
While closing her final DuJour, the tenth issue, she simultaneously launched Yahoo Style with editor-in-chief Joe Zee. After finishing, she joined the team as Art Director of Yahoo Style. The style portal made waves across the fashion industry. Cover stars included Jessica Biel, Julia Roberts, and Hedi Slimane. The site blended high-end fashion with celebrity news. At last, magazines and digital would live in harmony!
Seeking new challenges, Jones moved on to her current endeavor in the digital content space, becoming the Associate Creative Director at Pace Communications for the Four Seasons account. As content continues to drive the game, Jones utilizes her luxury-lifestyle editorial background to facilitate the world's leading luxury-hotel group.
